NeonRail Privacy Policy

Last updated: 9 September 2026 · 한국어

Summary

NeonRail has no accounts. There is no sign-in, no registration, and no email collection. We never ask for your name, phone number, address or payment details, and your settings and scores are kept on your device only. The one thing that leaves your device is advertising.

1. Kept on your device only (never transmitted)

The following is stored in local storage on your device and is not sent to any server. Uninstalling the app removes it.

2. Music files you import

NeonRail can turn a MIDI or MP3 file you choose yourself into a playable chart. Files are read through Android's document picker (Storage Access Framework), one file at a time, only the one you point at. The app does not browse your storage and does not request storage permissions.

The imported file and the chart made from it are kept in the app's own private storage and are never uploaded. All analysis and chart generation happen on your device. Deleting a song removes its file and its records with it.

3. Advertising

NeonRail shows interstitial ads from Google AdMob. An ad can appear only when you leave the results screen after a song; no ad ever appears while you are playing, and replaying the same song does not interrupt you.

This information is transmitted to Google LLC (United States) and used to serve and measure ads and to prevent abuse. Transmission is encrypted. Retention follows Google's own policy. You can read how Google uses data in advertising in the Google Privacy Policy and in the data AdMob uses.

In the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom we obtain consent through Google's consent management form (UMP) before requesting an ad, and no personalised ad is requested before consent is given. You can reset your advertising ID or opt out of personalised ads in your device settings.

4. What we do not do

5. Children

NeonRail is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

6. Deletion

Uninstalling the app removes the settings, records and imported songs stored on your device. You can reset your advertising identifier yourself from the advertising section of your device settings.

7. Changes

If this policy changes we update the "last updated" date on this page. Any change that adds to what is collected will be announced together with an app update.
